IMF chief, CBO executive president hold talks

H E Tahir bin Salim al Amri, executive president of the Central Bank of Oman (CBO), on Monday received Christine Lagarde, managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and her delegation at Muscat International Airport.

The IMF chief’s short visit to the sultanate aims at discussing issues concerning the IMF and the CBO together with enhancing bilateral relations.

The visit is also part of Lagarde’s tour across a number of GCC states to participate in financial forums concerned with the financial and economic conditions in the region and its policies to diversify economy and sources of national income.
