SEZAD signs deal for new road project in Duqm

The Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm (SEZAD) on Tuesday signed an agreement for the construction of a service road project in the Special Economic Zone of Duqm (SEZD).

The project worth RO3.8mn will be executed by Premier International Projects LLC and will be implemented during 18 months, plus 30 days for the preparatory works.

The agreement was signed by H E Yahya bin Said al Jabri, SEZAD chairman and Khalid bin Nassir al Toobi, managing director of Premier International Projects LLC.

As per the agreement, Premier International Projects LLC will design and construct around 8.3km long service road at Aman District in the Special Economic Zone of Duqm.

The road will serve the Royal Oman Police (ROP) facilities and intersect with the main road - Sultan Qaboos Road - that connects the Duqm airport with the port.

The project involves four roundabouts, with entrances and exits extending from and leading to the main road, along with water drain facilities, protection and removal of existing utilities and LED street lighting system.
