We just got back from Canada. It was the first time we went back after moving to Oman a couple of years ago. The trip was everything we had dreamed of. The flight was everything we had not.

It is summer, the season of long lazy afternoons and empty idle hours of wonder. I remember well the endless afternoons of lemonade stalls and sprinklers and long walks in the neighbourhood to see if anything interesting could be found.
