This has been some hiatus, writing almost after six weeks. Did you start getting withdrawal symptoms? I almost forgot that I write this column, what with the numerous holidays, and consequently no dailies on the doorstep.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving in the United States…traditionally, it is a time to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general. 

As they say…one can choose your friends but not your family. There is something special about old school and college friends…the rapport, the bonding is different.
