Now that I’m done with the town planning, I’d like to get started on our wardrobe planning! Summer is three seconds away and that means we must bring out, remove and revamp. Time to decide what to keep and what to store!
The difference between a pretty town and an ugly town is simple. Architectural guidelines, zoning laws, and discipline. His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has been amazing at setting the standards that has kept Muscat the envy of countries close and far, and admired by visitors from all corners of the world.
I'm packing for Paris and I can't wait! This is undoubtedly my favourite work trip because fashionwise, you have carte blanche! Each city has it's own unique "style" or uniform even. In Milan, the dress code is more classical chic, yet in London you have to be edgy, otherwise you are considered boring! The beauty of Paris however, especially around fashion week is that anything goes! You can mix, match and change to whatever style you want on a daily basis.
Today I would like to share with you a story. It resonated deep with me and reinforced something I have felt for a long time. It is of course only my opinion. It happened in Milan.
Hello from a cold (sorry freezing), wet and grey Milan... .Yet with all that it's still so beautiful, at least for anyone that has a love for fashion. Whenever I say I'm off to Milan, the reaction is always the same. People either love it or hate it. But really you just have to 'get' it! Granted it doesn't have the beauty of Paris or the charm of London. Neither does it have the buzz of New York. But if you have a fashion bone in your body the love for Milan, which I can only describe as a catwalk on the streets, runs deep. With each visit I look more forward to the next.
