Most of us have heard about the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) project which aims to offer an affordable educational device for use in the developing world. Thousands of these laptops have been distributed in countries such as Uruguay, Peru, Mexico, Ghana and India.
With a digital camera available in almost every device we use, we take and store more photographs than our computer’s hard drive can hold and more than our time allows us to organise and view, especially when those photos or videos are taken using non-professional cameras like those in mobile phones, which deliver normal results.
Last Ramadan, I did a comprehensive review of the latest smartphone apps related to the spiritual theme of the occasion. Although I am doing the same this year, I realise the market has changed dramatically. For instance, there are a lot of iPhone apps, a few for both iPad and Android, and a good amount of apps made specifically for Nokia phones.
One of the factors that prevents us from achieving our goals is the lack of helpful tools, like ones that aid in the visual representation of our objectives and their impact upon our goals.
I finally got a chance to try out the HTC Sensation, one of the latest smartphones that runs on Android.
