Forty tourism facilities offer quarantine space to MoH

Owners of 40 hotels have responded to the call of the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) to offer quarantine spaces.

Owner of the Arabian Oryx Camp in Bidiyah Hamdan Mohammed al Hajri is only too happy to offer a helping hand in this pandemic situation. “We welcome the initiative of the Ministry of Tourism. The camp has 112 rooms and is ready to be under the management of the Ministry of Health.”

Another citizen, who owns the Bidiyah Desert Camp, Badr al Hajri, said that his firm is committed to limit the spread of coronavirus. “Our camp is ready to serve the country at any time. We urge everyone to join hands in helping the government tackle the situation.”

Said al Hajri, owner of the Al Hawiyat Camp too said he has offered his camp and staff for the cause. “The camp, with all its facilities, is ready for the Ministry of Health to use. All camp staff will be ready to provide any assistance.”

A crisis situation like this warrants cooperation from all, said Ali al Hajry owner of the Al Raha Tourism camp. “The camp with all its facilities is ready for the Ministry of Health. I hope all sections of the community cooperate with the commitment of the Supreme Committee and adhere to the procedures recommended by the Ministry of Health to contain the number of cases in the country.”

Meanwhile, the Salalah Free Zone (SFZ) on Wednesday announced that its employees will contribute 10 per cent of their April salaries to support the works of the Ministry of Health.

Ali bin Mohammed Tabuk, chief executive officer of Salalah Free Zone, said, “This initiative is a response to the national calls, efforts and
initiatives to combat coronavirus and in appreciation of the efforts of the Supreme Committee.”

MoT appreciated the hotels for providing 2,000 rooms for the Ministry of Health (MoH). It also urged other such firms to cooperate by calling Salem on 99076665 and 99762535.
