H E Ali Javed, Oman’s ambassador designate to Pakistan discuss ties

H E Ali Javed, Ambassador of Pakistan, met H E Sheikh Mohamed Omar Ahmed al Marhoon, before his departure to Islamabad as Oman’s Ambassador to Pakistan, at the VIP Lounge at Muscat Airport last week.

The envoys appreciated the existence of highest political will for deepening the historic relations between the two nations as well as the strategic overlap in the vision of their leaderships to promote the spirit of ‘Peace for Prosperity’, stated a press release.

H E Marhoon appreciated the services rendered by Pakistani community towards building the Omani society, promoting people to people exchanges and consolidation of bilateral friendship.

He praised the economic turnaround in Pakistan and observed that the opportunity to serve the two nations from Islamabad was a matter of deep privilege and distinct honour.

H E Marhoon hails from Salalah in the Governorate of  Dhofar which is home to an estimated 70,000 Pakistanis.

He fondly recalled welcoming alongside H E Javed, the first Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight to Salalah when it made history on December 1, 2016, connecting Salalah with Lahore on direct flight.

H E Javed, who arrived in Oman on June 8, 2016, extended felicitations and reaffirmed full cooperation to H E Marhoon during his assignment.

Both envoys agreed to work in tandem towards boosting bonds of kinship between the two nations.
