Legal Committee discusses final draft of Cultural Heritage Law
The Legal Committee of the State Council discussed the final draft of the Committee on Culture, Information and Tourism’s report pertaining to the Cultural Heritage Law. The discussion was held at its second meeting on Thursday.
The meeting was chaired by Abdul Qadir bin Salim al Dhahab, head of the committee, in the presence of other members of the committee and the staff of the secretariat. The discussions also referred to the speech delivered by the State Council secretary-general wherein he highlighted the Council of Ministers speech on the proposed laws that were referred to the State Council and the Majlis A’Shura.
They also noted that he had specifically underlined the significance of coordinated mechanism of joint work between the standing committees of the State Council and the Majlis A'Shura, for the second annual sitting of the sixth term.
The committee also reviewed the report on the follow-up procedures for the implementation of their decisions taken at its previous meeting, noted the updates on its agenda and took appropriate decisions.
