Ministry of Education sign pacts with four private varsities

The Ministry of Education (MoE) on Tuesday signed cooperation pacts with the vice chancellors and representatives of four private universities.

The agreements were signed with Sohar University, Dhofar University, Nizwa University and A'Sharqiyah University to work on practical training for students.

The pacts were signed by H E Saud bin Salim al Balushi, Undersecretary for Planning and Human Resource Development in the Ministry of Education and Chairman of the Committee for the Executive Procedures of Teacher Preparation and Qualification Programs.
H E Balushi said, “The ministry is coordinating with private universities on practical education for students who are pursuing education specialties in the faculties of education in these universities.

“Practical education is an integral component in the preparation of future teachers. This is to ensure that the students become teachers and excel in their profession.”

He added that the ministry is closely supervising the education of these students who will be teachers in the future.
