MoH to participate in Arab health ministers meeting
The sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Health, will take part in the 51st Ordinary Session of the Arab Health Ministers Council’s meeting, due to be hosted by the Arab Republic of Egypt on Wednesday.
The sultanate’s delegation to the meeting will be led by H E Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Obaid al Sa’eedi, Minister of Health.
The meeting will touch on health issues in the Arab world and showcase successful experiences of the member states in the health field. It will also discuss the proposal of celebrating Arab Health Day and Arab Physician Award.
The meeting will also address the Arab Authority for Blood Transfusion Services, the unified speech of the Arab Health Ministers Council in Geneva next May, the recommendations of the Arab Forum on Reproductive Health and the Arab Council for Health Specialties, as well as the Arab Center for Authorship and Translation of Health Science.
The meeting will also discuss issues relating the Arab Fund for Health Development, standardising health legislations in the Arab states and highlighting projects, such as establishing the Arab Center for Cooperation and Research on HIV/AIDS.
