Muscat University participates in GHEDEX
The Muscat University stall at the recently concluded 18th edition of Global Higher Education Exhibition (GHEDEX), which was held from April 18-20 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, attracted a large number of student visitors eager to know more about the newest university in Oman.
Muscat University was one of the Gold sponsors of GHEDEX 2017, an annual event held under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE).
The Muscat University management and staff spoke to students about the specialised curriculum at the university, while also offering the students advice on what they should look for in a career, understanding their own skills and interests and selecting the course that best suits them.
Muscat University is a new high-quality international university located in the heart of Muscat. With a vision to transform individuals and communities through excellence in teaching, learning and research, it is offering a world of opportunities for those seeking high-quality international education at the university level.
“We were delighted to interact with so many eager and bright young Omani and international students who registered their interest in joining Muscat University. We spoke to students about the industry-engaged programmes we offer and their relevance to the social and economic priorities of Oman and of the region. We look forward to welcoming them as the first cohort of Bachelor and Master’s programmes at Muscat University in September 2017,” said professor Anthony Cahalan, vice chancellor of Muscat University.
Muscat University students will be awarded two degree certificates from Muscat University and Aston University for the Bachelor programmes or Muscat University and Cranfield University for the Master’s degrees. Professor Cahalan added, “Muscat University students will be taught by ‘UK-based flying faculty’ from Aston and Cranfield Universities and will be supported by Muscat University academic staff at our new state-of the-art campus on Sultan Qaboos Street, beside the Porsche showroom and opposite Oman Avenues Mall.”
