NRAA chief meets Kuwaiti minister in preparation for conference, exhibition
Sheikh Mohammed al Abdullah al Sabah, Kuwaiti Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Minister of Information, received in his office Dr Hamad bin Mohammed al Dhoyani, chairman of the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA) and his accompanying delegation.
Dr Dhoyani is in Kuwait as to attend the preparatory meetings for sixth international conference, 'Oman's Relations with the Indian Ocean and Gulf Countries from the 17th century to the 19th Century', and the accompanying documentary exhibition, which will be held in December.
The conference will carry out an in-depth study of the historical, political, economic and social aspects with the countries of the Indian Ocean and the Gulf. During the meeting, Sheikh Sabah praised sultanate’s willingness to conduct the conference in Kuwait. He explained how the conference reflects the deep ties that bind Oman and Kuwait and people of the two countries.
He also said that the conference through the working papers, research and studies will explore Oman's relations with the countries of the Indian Ocean and the Gulf.
He also stressed the importance of the role of NRAA in highlighting the cultural and historical value of Oman.
