Nama Group launches third edition of ‘Baiti Aamin’
The Nama Group launched the third edition of the ‘Baiti Aamin’ project, a sustainability initiative. With this launch, the group aims to build a culture of health and safety, as well as promote awareness of the skills needed to deal with emergencies and prevent accidents at home.
In order to empower small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and to support voluntary teams contributing actively to the community, Nama collaborated with Ajyal al Hemma Company and Asef Volunteering Team to conduct this project, which includes a series of activities and lectures.
This year, Nama targeted different groups of the community - housewives, mothers, students - and supported other concerned institutions which contribute to HSE aspects.
The launch was marked by conducting a workshop in Masirah Island and the wilayat of Al Jaser, targeting at least 150 participants. The project will achieve its objectives by implementing additional workshops and training programmes which started on September 6 and will continue till November 30 in ten governorates - Muscat, Dhofar, North and South Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, Dakhliyah, Buraimi, Musandam, and North and South Batinah, besides five universities and five schools.
‘Baiti Aamin’ was launched in 2015, when more than 400 residents of the wilayat of Bausher were trained in skills related to First Aid, firefighting and home safety. Additionally, 200 homes in the wilayat were provided First Aid kits and suitable firefighting equipment. The second edition of the programme was implemented last year in all wilayats of Muscat governorate.
