PACDA, ROP rescue eight persons after vehicle gets trapped in Musandam wadi

Eight persons were rescued from a vehicle that got stuck in Wadi al Beih in Dibba on Sunday during heavy rains. The rescued included two citizens.

The rescue operation was conducted by the ROP in cooperation with the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances.

A statement from the ROP has asked people to exercise caution while crossing wadis during rain, “A number of stranded people were rescued safely at Wadi al Beih in Musandam.”

Meanwhile, several parts of the sultanate including Muscat received light to moderate rain on Sunday, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) tweeted.

On Sunday, several parts of South and North Sharqiyah and other coastal areas too received light to moderate rain, it said. Rains are likely to continue, PACA in its tweet added.
