RO971.4mn value of traded contracts in real estate sector
The value of traded contracts in real estate sector stood at RO971,400,000 in April 2017, a decline of 76.8 per cent compared to the same period in the previous year, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
The collected fee stood at RO30,300,000, a rise of 20.8 per cent while the value of traded sale contracts in April 2017 stood at RO442,900,000, a rise of 11.9 per cent. The number of sale contracts in April 2017 stood at 21,675, a decline of 19.4 per cent compared to 26,883 contracts in the same period of the previous year.
The value of mortgage contracts fell by 85.7 per cent at RO542mn compared to RO3,800.1mn during the same period last year. The number of mortgage contracts stood at 7,405 registering a decline of 16.9 per cent.
The value of exchanged contracts stood at more than RO6.5mn with a rise of 194.5 per cent in the same period in 2016 which was RO2.2mn.
The number of exchanged contracts saw a rise of 14.4 per cent that stood at 317 at the end of April 2017 compared to 277 during the same period last year.
The number of title deeds registered for the first time during April 2017 stood at 83,307, a fall of 4.8 per cent, compared to 87,489 title deeds registered in the same period of 2016.
