There’s enough foodstuff; keeping tab on prices, MoCI assures the public
While assuring that enough food commodities are available in all governorates, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has stated that it is coordinating with the Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) to monitor commodity prices during the coronavirus crisis.
H E Eng Ahmed bin Hassan al Dheeb, Undersecretary of MoCI, said, “We assure everyone that all food commodities are available in all governorates of the sultanate. There is continuous coordination with PACP to monitor commodity prices in the markets.”
The Public Authority for Stores and Food Reserve (PASFR) has also indicated that it is monitoring the prices of basic food commodities and checking if there is any abnormal movement in the prices.
