Hinai appointed as CAS arbitrator

Oman's Sheikh Abdulwahab al Hinai, who is the chairman of Oman Dispute Resolution and Arbitration for Sport Committee of the Oman Olympic Committee (OOC), has been appointed as an arbitrator of the Lausanne-based  Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

The CAS is an independent institution involved in resolving legal disputes in the field of sport through arbitration and mediation.

Hinai is one of the 390 arbitrators from 87 countries and may be called upon at any time to serve on any arbitration panel. Hinai has a distinguished career and experience in arbitration and sports-related laws. He was recently also selected as member of the Ethics Commission of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) at the ANOC General Assembly held in Tokyo, Japan last month.
